In the first place we will go through Orbaizeta and Saragüeta (Valle de Arce): a small town located in the Pyrenees that is made up of a few hamlets arranged around the square and a two-pipe fountain that emanates water from nearby springs. Close to Orreaga / Roncesvalles and the Irati Forest, it forms part of the Arce Valley.
"Broken Silence" (2001): by the director Montxo Armendáriz, presents us with a story of love and maquis in post-war Spanish times. The film stars Lucía Jiménez, Juan Diego Botto, Mercedes Sampietro and Álvaro de Luna. During the filming, 200 people came to the small town of Saragüeta for 2 months of recordings. "Biutiful" (2010): it is a portrait of the life of Uxbal (Javier Bardem), a self-sacrificing father and helpless son, who, feeling that death haunts him, tries to find peace, protect his children and save himself. He has received 1 Silver Frame and 1 Goya for Best Actor. The protagonist appears walking through the snowy Abodi mountain range (Abodi Nordic Ski Resort), in a dream he has before he dies. Secretos del Corazón was filmed in Ochagavía: It is located north of the Salazar valley next to the imposing Irati Forest, it is one of the most picturesque towns in the Navarrese Pyrenees, It is characterized by its medieval bridge, its cobbled streets and its well-kept houses located at both sides of the Anduña river.
"Secretos del corazón" (1997): from the director Montxo Armendáriz, with Carmelo Gómez, Andoni Erburu, Charo López and Silvia Munt in the cast, they tell of the fear and fascination for the unknown from the eyes of a 9-year-old boy. She has been awarded 1 Blue Angel, 4 Goyas and 1 Ondas Award. Scenes are recognized in Ochagavía, when the two main brothers arrive and meet their mother who is waiting impatiently for them, and also locations in Pamplona and Uztárroz.
Roncal Valley: green and steep Pyrenean valley located in la muga con Francia, made up of 7 beautiful villages where stone and gabled roofs reign. The DO cheese. Roncal, traditions such as Almadia Day, sports such as cross-country skiing or wild landscapes such as Larra-Belagua, are some of the distinctive marks of the place.
"Obaba" (2005): directed by Montxo Armendáriz and starring Juan Diego Botto, Pilar López de Ayala and Lluis Homar among others, collects the story of a young woman who undertakes a trip to the lands of Obaba. He carries with him a small video camera with which he wants to capture the reality of that world and its people. He received 1 Goya for best sound. Obaba is the name of a Pyrenean town recreated from towns such as Uztárroz, Ochagavía and Roncal, where the lives of its inhabitants unfold with a nod to past traditions.
